SKF Events

The 2009 Kimura Cup championships proved to be yet again a success with competitors from all dojos competing for the Kimura Cup title.
The most outstanding section of the day had to be the ladies Senior Kumite section where fast, dynamic and exciting fights one after another was so good to see.
A bright future can be seen for the ladies section for the SKF.
Sophie Powell from Tsunami dojo, won the Kimura cup best competitor of the day, after showing true spirit and courage. A fine display from Sophie at these championships.

SHIHAN DANIELS SPRING 3 DAY GASSHUKU
The recent Shihan Daniels 3 Day Autumn gasshuku and Black belt gradings was held at the SKF headquarters. This years course was very lively with many students from all over the country traveling to take part in what was a very successful course.
Shihan Daniels introduced yet another Kata named "Pachu" which was new to all.

KSI EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009 - GERMANY
The KSI European Championships for Kimura Shukokai were held in Potsdam, Germany in July 2009.
The SKF National Team had very successful results, winning 12 GOLD, 4 SILVER & 8 BRONZE. A fantastic result in which the squad topped the European Championships Medal Table.

SKF NATIONALS 2009:
The recent SKF National Championships were held on Saturday 25th April 2009.
This years championships showed some outstanding performances, in all events ranging from childrens events all the way through to the adult event sections. However the most impressive and outstanding performance at this years championships came from our SKF Captain, Sensei Paul Richards, who was presented with the Shihan Daniels most outstanding Senior competitior. The most outstanding junior competitor was Jack Pritchard.
